Yet another reason to homeschool

A simple case of poor judgment? Or yet another reason to keep your children as far away from public education as possible?

Here is an excerpt from a recent CNN news report (the full text accessible below):

"The visit was part of the YMCA's STAY program, for students considered at risk of dropping out of school, abusing drugs or getting into trouble with the law. The trip, a week ago, was part of a tour of several social service agencies in the city, to show the students where they could go for support and recreation during the summer."

Now, just exactly what part of a visit to Planned Parenthood would be deemed "recreational." May God have mercy!

"We have had a very positive relationship", says the school offical of Planned Barrenhood. Sure, the school regularly sends them customers for contraception, which then fails, and then they return for abortion. This is our tax dollars at work, money to support those idealogues at the school, and for the world's largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. The only safe place for pedophiles to get abortions for their underage girlfriends in perfect secrecy.
Yes, this one alone is a good reason to homeschool.

Leticia--nice to meet you! I'm enjoying your blog, having just discovered it. I've added you to my blogroll.
As you have so aptly put it, these are our tax dollars at work...pro-life America. As home educators, we still support many disgusting and intrinsically evil programs (unwilling, mind you) thanks to the school taxes which are heaped upon us. I thank my dear Lord that I'm not on that sinking ship!

The individual responsible for the trip got fired. Apparently, nobody in the administration at either the Y nor at the school knew about it until afterwards. Fortunately, it does not appear that abortion was discussed. Of course, it's still a completely inappropriate place to take a group of 8th graders, particularly "at risk" kids! Of anyone, these kids need clear moral guidance to keep them out of trouble and they're sure not going to get that from PP! :-(
